However, the plot thickens with a CHANCE inclusion of Kush Maini, an Indian F2 driver, who was recently announced as the reserve driver for Mahindra Racing.
Maini stands ready to step in as a substitute for Nyck De Vries who is one of the 2 Full-time Drivers for the Mahindra Racing team. On Nov 20, 2024, Nyck was also announced to join the Toyota Gazoo Racing team to race for them in the #07 Car at the FIA World Endurance Racing with Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway, which means Nyck will be one of the drivers of FE who will have to choose between racing at Formula E at Berlin or at 6 hours of Spa at WEC in Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.

Kush Maini currently (2023 season) drives in Formula 2 with Campos Racing, Kush also announced that the 2-time Formula 1 world champion Mika Hakinnen will be mentoring him for his motorsports career.
